Big Bend Banks, N.A. – The Depth of our Heritage

For more than a century, we have enjoyed a rich history of serving the Big Bend region of West Texas.  When the doors of The Marfa National Bank first opened in the Spring of 1907, we advertised our banking goals as “Safety, Strength, Judgement, Integrity, Initiative and Service.”  These ideals formed our foundation and fueled the drive for excellence and determination to provide our surrounding community with the finest in banking services.  1^st Presidio Bank was opened in 1975 and has been providing consumers and businesses near the US/Mexico Border with the same exemplary service.  Our two branches take immense pride in serving three of the largest counties in Texas.

The people who created, formed, and nurtured our bank were great visionaries.  Currently serving on our Board of Directors are descendants of the original shareholders that established The Marfa National Bank and the 1^st Presidio Bank.  The dedication and accomplishments of our shareholders, Board of Directors, and employees continue to be the heart and soul of Big Bend Banks, N.A.

There have been many significant changes made in banking, technology and in our communities over the course of one hundred years.  We continue to evolve successfully with these rapidly changing times by keeping our feet firmly planted on the bedrock of sound financial management; keeping a close tab on the needs of our customers; and by investing in technology and our human resources.
